Registration Deadline for Mt. Hood Cycling Classic and Last Minute Updates

Mt. Hood Cycling Classic

2007-05-21

Good Morning OBRA,

Just a quick reminder that you only have today and tomorrow to register
for this year's Mt. Hood Cycling Classic. We have a tremendous event
lined up for this year with 460 athletes already registered from nearly
30 states and 10 different countries, including some of the top pro men
and women on the U.S. circuit. Come see top NW talents Ryan Trebon,
Barry Wicks, Doug Ollerenshaw, Omer Kem and more as they compete for
cash and the prestige of winning one of the toughest races in the country.

We are getting a lot of positive feedback from riders who have pre riden
the new big mountain stage and the new time trial course. Both are
being called spectacular. The new TT will be like nothing you have ever
raced before.

We still have room in all categories including the CAT 3 men's field who
just had 5 spots open up due to some recent cancelations.

A couple of things to note. First we will be posting our race bible in
the next day or two so be sure and check the web site. Second a
reminder to all masters men that we will be running a 35+ category but
we will also have prizes for the top 3 on GC who are 45+ as well. If
you are on the fence right now because of concerns about two of the
stages being point to point and you do not have team support don't be we
have multiple shuttles operating on those days to give riders a trip
back to there cars if they need it. Finally start lists and times (for
those categories starting with a TT) will be posted later this week as
soon as registration has concluded.

We hope to see everyone out to Hood River for some of the best racing
around. If you are not racing in this year's event be sure and come
watch the stage 6 criterium in downtown Hood River on Sunday from 10 to
3 p.m.. We will have some tremendous athletes challenging each other on
one of the toughest criterium courses in the Northwest. Music, race
expo, and tons of giveaways will make for a great afternoon. Plus Full
Sail on tap. Doesnt' get much better than that. Hope to see all of you
next week!

Sincerely,
Chad Sperry
