Actually, I am glad George replied. Here is my two cents on the subject.
Go with the Direct-TV. As far as internet connection, you have to ask yourself what you typically do with your internet? If you are only using it for email, web-browsing and the occasional download I would suggest either Qwest or Verizon DSL.
If you are doing a lot of file-sharing/uploading/downloading, then Broadband (either Comcast or Verizon FiOS) would be your best bet.
