I am a caseworker with Services to Children and

Families (SCF). I have a child on my caseload who is

10 yrs old and has spent the last 3 years (mostly) in

locked / highly secured mental heath facilities. He

has only managed 7 months (12-00 thru 6-01) out of the

last 3 years in a regular foster family's home. His

mother abandoned him 4 yrs ago and he has never owned

many personal belongings due to restrictions of mental

health facilities. He is now back in such a facility;

however, he is allowed a bicycle there.



So. . . if anyone is willing to donate a bike for a

4'7" boy (doesn't have to be new or in mint

condition)please let me know. SCF has Permanent

Custody of him (what we call a legal orphan - or "not

adoptable") and I would be able to have any donator

meet him if they'd like to do so. When not violent

he's quite the polite and grateful boy : )

He's at the Albertina Kerr campus on 162nd; PDX.
