- The registration tent will be located on the infield of PIR near the start/finish area.
- To save time, please bring your filled-out and signed Series Waiver (please download from series web site).
- No late fees.

All races will start on time, so schedule enough time to get to PIR, get all your stuff together, ride your bike from the parking lot to the infield, and get registered. Depending on turn-out, registration wait times can be up to 10' minutes at peak times.

PRE-RIDING:
The short track course and surrounding area will be open for pre-riding on race days from 4:00pm through 5:45pm. If time allows, racers will also be able to pre-ride the course in between the race heats (only after all racers have come through on their last lap).

UPGRADE RULES:
Beginner, Sport and Expert Men racers who podiumed last year in 3 or more races (or who ended top-3 overall) will have to upgrade this year. Beginner racers who had at least one top-3 finish are also asked to upgrade, so the "real" beginner get a chance of placing. The upgrade rules do not apply to junior racers or racers age 40 and over. Racers are free to upgrade anytime throughout the series, but earned points are not transferable to a new category.

RACE PLATES:
Like last year, all racers will receive a special series race plate (you'll have to pick up your plate at the registration tent at your first race). These are the only race plates that will be honored by our officials (no OBRA MTB XC series race plates!). If you forget or lose your race plate, you'll have to pick up a temporary plate at the registration desk.

PRIZES:
- More than $4,000 worth of products and prizes, randomly distributed among all racers.
- $750 cash purse for Pro/Semi-Pro top 3 overall, courtesy of our title sponsor Clif Bar.
- Weekly "Bike N' Hike Queen of the Night" special prize (a $75 gift certificate!) randomly drawn among our senior and master women racers. Go girls!
- Weekly "Nutcase of the Night" special prize (a Nutcase helmet) donated by the Bike Gallery and randomly drawn among our junior racers.
- More weekly prizes randomly drawn among our racers include: race photos donated by our official series photographer OregonVelo.com, annual subscriptions to Dirt Rag, 6-packs of Pyramid beer, 4-packs of Tazo Tea Drink, and of course our ever-popular goodie water bottles.

POINTS & AWARDS:
- Points are awarded 15 deep in each race. Points schedule is - 30,25,22,19,17,15,13,11,9,7,5,4,3,2,1.
- Best five out of six races count toward overall results.
- Series awards (3 deep) & final series raffle will take place at the series grand finale.
- Final series points count towards Oregon BAR (Best All-Around Rider) ranking. Since we are racing for six weeks, the final results will count as one set of BAR points.

MISCELANNEOUS:
- This is an OBRA event. OBRA rules and helmet regulations apply to all participants! Make sure to bring a helmet and wear it any time you are on your bike, including on your way from your car to the infield and back.
- OBRA and the organizers of this race do not provide insurance coverage for injuries that occur at the race. The costs related to those injuries are the responsibility of the individual participant.-
- Be safe when crossing the track. On Monday nights between 6pm and 8pm there are ongoing road bike races on the PIR race track. We urge everyone to use the bridge whenever possible to get to and from the motocross course. If you prefer to cross the race track through the main gate, you should use extreme caution, both on your way in and on your way out. Always look both ways and don't cross the track when oncoming road bike racers are in sight. Please respect course marshals' instructions whenever they are present.
- No dogs please. We all like animals, but they add another element of complexity.
