Mike Ripley
Hello,
This is the last race in the 6 race series and there are many tight
points competitions going on. First place overall in the series in
each of 19 classes gets a sweet custom jerseyby Primal Wear.
First and foremost the Team Competition is close with Capitol Subaru
putting some distance between 1st and second with a a great team
turnout in Bend for Pickets charge.
webcyclery.com was in third and may come real close with a good
showing at Oakridge.
In the Mens Pro Class its up for Grabs with Evan Plews, Ben Thompson
and Erik Tonkin in a virtual tie going into Oakridge. Whoever wins
will win the jersey and the series.
40+ Expert----- David Hill holds the lead over Martin Baker and with
Marc Fortier in third, but waiting to strike is Jum Junenger in 4th
who with only 3 races raced can jump them all and claim the title
with a strong showing. If Jim places 1st or second its over.
Pro Women
Dani Dance leads Alice Pennington, and Allison Paulus but once again
Alice has raced only 3 races and if she wins or places 2nd at
Oakridge she would win the series over both.
Sport 50+
Terry Knight leads the very competitive class with a host of others
right on his wheel---most notably Steve Yenne, who with three races
under his belt will come from 5th to first with a win over Terry
Knight and a third or worse by Terry would give the title to Steve
Yenne.
Singlespeed
Too Close to call for 1st and 2nd between Nelson Snyder and Pat Kudzus
There are many other close competitions and I hope to see a good
turnout. I will not be racing and my 10th place overall in the 40+
expert makes me content as only David Baker can bump me into 11th
(pace yourself David)
