Thanks for sticking up for me Ed. Dan, I used the term "tongue-in-cheek" and

I've got a hard skin from plenty of road rash so the "ignorant" comment just

kinda skidded off. I do believe that a more coordinated effort within the

bicycling community to supply the county with input will improve the roads.

It's going to take time to build the relationships with the appropriate people.

The current answers aren't always what we'd like but I'm encouraged that we've

been able to engage Gregg Leion in the recent discussions.

Alright, I recant my "ignorant" comment. I just bristle at being called a

"bicycler" because there is no such word and it usualy comes from someone

who says things like "Bicyclers have no business being on the road" or

"Bicyclers don't pay taxes" or "Something should be done to get rid of

those damn bicyclers like chip sealing the road"

Uhhhh, Dan. You may want to rethink this comment.

The person who wrote it is hardly ignorant. He is an

avid cyclist and supporter of the cycling community.

I believe that John's company is a sponsor of

Alpensrose Velodrome, he is an OBRA member and long

time cyclist.

The term "bicycler" should give us an idea of the

ignorance we are dealing

with.
