This is may be the North Fork of the Trask from Carlton. The old stage
coach route to the beach. It's a good ride on gravel but it's easy to get
lost near the summit. There are no signs and the main route is not obvious.
The Cascade Crawlers 4WD club has some hand painted signs up there but you
need to know what the landmarks are. It's about 70 miles from Carlton to
Pacific City. Brian

I would avoid Hwy 6. There is a route from the Flying M ranch area down the
Trask drainage and out along the Trask river. I don't know it's current
condition. During the week watch out for log trucks but the SUV s on the
weekends present the greatest challenge.

Hey OBRA members -
Does anyone have suggested cycling routes from Portland (Hillsboro) to the
Oregon coast (either Cannon Beach, Tillamook or Lincoln City) or anyplace in
between, Any & all input is appreciated (including roads to stay off).
Cheers
