***NOTE: The frame has had the paint sanded off at the lower headset

race/"downtube" junction by a Softride dealer who was inspecting what I

thought might be a crack BUT it was only some cracking of the

paint.....apparently, the custom paint is fairly thick and as the bike

flexed in this area, the paint did too. I was assured by the dealer and

by

speaking with softride that this was only a paint issue. The same

cracking

of the paint occurred in one small spot on the painted beam
