You all are living in the wrong part of the country. Down here in
Florence you can run all the traffic signs you want and they do nothing
about it. In fact just this morning I watched a bicyclist run a stop
sign on Bay street as an officer was coming the opposite way and the
officer did nothing. If your riding down town you best be on you toes as
these people do not even slow down at 4 ways, that and they ride the
wrong direction in the bike lanes. The near misses I've had have been
with other cyclists violating traffic signs or going the wrong way in a
bike lanes. However a few years back they cited a cyclist for riding
under the influence of alcohol. I wonder if the city knows all the
revenue they're missing out on....its a strange world out there.....Jean
