BLUE RIDGE Mountain Bike Race
Part of the 2001 Sobe OBRA Oregon Off-Road Series

Coos Bay, Oregon
New Course this year. Pure singletrack heaven. Practice your passing, boys, cause there?s no double track here! All courses are about 90% technical singletrack. We also eliminated the huge climb, it?s all on top of the ridge.

Entry fee note: I will not tax the slower riders to pay the faster ones ? that?s crap. I will not waste my time and effort to give away a bunch of useless junk - we all have enough Mythos tires. I might give out some goodies you will actually use. I WILL put on a fun, challenging race with reasonable entry fees. It will be worth the trip out to the coast.

Race site is on top of Blue Ridge, 30 mins east of Coos Bay.
From Coos Bay:
Follow Hwy 101 four miles south from town, turn east on Coos City-Sumner Road at the West Coast Hardwoods Log Plant. Continue through Sumner on Coos Wagon Road. Two miles after it turns to dirt, turn left on paved Blue Ridge road (26-12-4.2). Follow this paved road for approximately 4 miles to the top of the ridge and take a right onto a gravel road (26-12-35). Veer right at the first Y and follow 26-12-35.1 less than a mile. Please park along ONE side of the road.
From Hwy 42 / Coquille:
On Hwy 42 head south out of Coquille and take a right onto W. Central. Go approximately 1 mile and take a left onto Fairview Rd. Follow Fairview Rd. to a 4 way intersection. Take a left onto the Coos Bay Wagon Road heading towards Sumner. Drive approximately 6 miles and take a right onto Blue Ridge Road (26-12-4.2). Follow this paved road for approximately 4 miles to the top of the ridge and take a right onto a gravel road (26-12-35). Veer right at the first Y and follow 26-12-35.1 less than a mile. Please park along ONE side of the road.
REGISTRATION: Pre-registration (received by Aug 23) will be accepted. Race day registration opens at 8:30 a.m. and CLOSES 20 minutes before each start. You can also register at Moe?s Bike Shop in North Bend, Tu-F: 9:30-5:30, Sa: 10-4.
