North Plains Drifter??

okay, enough now...I needed to break the tension...

Some of you may recall I posted an inquiry a couple of weeks ago about custom frame builders who might be ideally suited to build a disc equipped road rain bike.....Well, when I do get one eventually I was just thinking I could memorialize this North Plains incident in that custom frame...by name as the "North Plains Drifter". I'm sure that will give the lucky local frame builder some fuel

IF you are not a Clint Eastwood fan this will all be lost on you so stop now....

in one of his great spaghetti westerns "High Plains Drifter"...(hmmm...drifter?...failing to stop?... hmmm?) Its about a small town in the middle of nowhere gone amuck fearing the return of three vicious whip cracking criminals soon to be released form prison (hmmm....?) and wreak havoc in the small town. The characters include Eastwood (the stranger/hero/ghost?), three gun slingers framed (by the towns people) for a crime they didn't commit and thus forced into working for the town to defend the town, there is also a sheriff, and many other strange characters. Eastwood shows the town the error of their ways and even eventually gets them to paint the entire town red (hmmmm....kind of like a stop sign..hmmm?). There is even a great scene in the end of the movie where Eastwood rides by the cemetery on his way out of town....(the story is that the names on the many headstones are the names of directors or producers who failed to give Clint a chance earlier in his career...)

I can see the bike now painted in some jail bird theme, with stop signs like polka dots, super reliable disc brakes, a rear view mirror, and maybe even $335 in cash under the clear coat?????
