If you are so moved, I think you might write an "Appreciation Letter" to
Paul Fearn, (the promoter and member of the Camas Downtown Association) that
he could forward to the local papers and the race's sponsors. Camas
residents really get a kick out of this event and it is a great family event
too. The kids race is very fun and friendly.
Paul is now a valued advocate of cycling for us in east Clark County. As
those of you who raced this weekend know now, there is some great riding out
their. It will benefit us all to thank the promoter, the business
associations, the residents, and local governments who make it possible.

A Request to OBRA Friends in the Camas/Washugal Area:
Let's post names and addresses of the local newspapers for us to fire
off a multitude of letters to the editor in appreciation for the city
streets and county roads. When a town allows us to use the main streets
for some (really fun) racing, we need to get the "thank you" out as
loudly as possible!
I noticed more spectators this year...our letters will be one of the
reasons for more next year!
