Hi,

I'm sorry guys, we had wrong information on our phone info line, so the?right start times are:

There is no Short Track race this time, also the first category - pro/elite/experts?starts at 12:00, then start Sport category at 12:20 and as last Beginners at 12:30.

pro/elite/experts are doing three loops = 21miles or 19miles (Women, Vets, Jr, SS)?
sports are doing 2 loops = 15.5miles for 19-39 Men, 14miles for all other sport classes
beginners are doing 1 loop = 7miles for all except 14&under (they do one or two shorter loops around the base area)

I hope to see you tomorrow

Ok, now there is some serious confusion that has been created about the race tomorrow. Is there not anyone "official" that can clarify what is the ACTUAL start time? ...

On one hand, we have an "official" race web page that says one thing, then, an individual poster (Ron Strasser) saying another thing, and then, yet one more individual poster (David Luoma) saying something even different!?!?

I'm planning on racing the pro/expert race, which seems to be clearly at 1:00. But what I'm more interested in knowing is when/what the beginners will be racing, since I'm trying to bring a new rider to the venue. Are they doing a short track event that concludes prior to the faster riders XC, or are they starting after the faster riders, but out on the trails at the same time? Will they be on a short, non-tech loop, or hitting some of the rough stuff up there?

Any info is much appreciated. Thanks! Hope to see lot's of you OBRA folks up there tomorrow. Should be a great day for mtb'ing!

OBRA,
Tomorrow is the #3 cross country race in the Ski Bowl Mtn Bike Race Series. It is the last Ski Bowl XC race before the Scotty Graham Memorial finals on Sept 9th.
Due to lack of racers the finals may not happen and the whole Ski Bowl Series could go away. Only 52 racers total showed up at Shiloh Super Sunday. Although the number of cross country racers is down I know OBRA has members who like to race their mountain bikes. Last week over 200 showed at PIR for the Short Track races on Monday.
How about taking the short 45 minute drive to Ski Bowl tomorrow for some classic Oregon cross country racing? There is a Short Track race in the morning followed by the Cross Country race at 1:00 pm. The course is challenging and fun with tons of singletrack and awesome climbs through the woods. By showing up and supporting Petr and Hurricane Racing we can keep this long time venue alive. Please consider coming up and racing. There will be awards, some great raffle items and lots of Pilsner Urquel to quench your thirst.
Hope to see you there.

FYI
I just called the info line and the start time is 1PM for Pro- elilte- expert. 1:20PM for Sport and about 1:30PM for beginners. The flyer I sent in for pre-reg said a Noon start (etc), but the website now also lists the 1PM (etc) start times.
