We would like to announce the inclusion of a "Points Competition" to the CMG/Alpine Mortgage Crit Series. In addition to the weekly payouts and cash preems, $1,000 has been earmarked for a "Points Competition" that will take place over the 3-week series. The top 15 riders in each race will be scored every week using the same scoring system as The Tour. Payouts will be given to the top-5 riders in the Men's 4/5, Master 30+ 1,2,3, and the Pro 1,2,3 races. Remember, the cash prizes for the series are in addition to cash preems and weekly payouts.

Come on out and experience the flavor of a European-style race course. It's unlike any other crit course around. Who is going to be next Robbie McEwen, Tomeke Boonen or Erik Zabel (post EPO) and wear the green jersey? In fact, we may pull a "green jersey" out of storage for the Pro 1,2,3 race leader. Details for payouts will be posted on OBRA shortly, or they can be picked up at registration.

It's not about winning each race, it's about being the most "consistent" sprinter over the 3-week period.

And don't forget,The Vancouver Courthouse Crit, with its one-of-a-kind figure eight course will be held in downtown Vancouver on Sunday, July 29th. Once again there is an outstanding prize list. The great course, easy access venue and fun atmosphere attract the best racers in the Pacific Northwest. It all adds up to a great day of cycling.
