Riding an event without having registered or paid is theft; no matter how
you choose to rationalize it to yourself. It would not be possible for you
to ride out there without some incredibly dedicated and supportive
organizers and officials, your fellow racers, and a general sense of fair
play. You're stealing from all of these people and taking advantage of the
trust they put in you to do the right thing.
Make a decision, do you want to be a racer or a thief?
By the way, PIR is a race, not a training ride. The last time I checked
there were plenty of free training rides; try some, you might learn
something about honor, respect, and fairness while you get more fit.
