A TT bike will usually has a shorter top tube. Your friend is correct in
that regard. How much shorter? This depends on your unique body measurements
and flexibility, the angle of the seat-tube (among other things). This also
assumes you are already riding the correct size road frame. A TT fit is much
different than a road fit. Measurements from your road fit will help you,
but it's different for sure.

I have been told by a good friend that the length of the top tube on a tri bike should be about 2 cm shorter than on my road bike. Is this true? I hate to say that I doubt him, but I do. Nevertheless, I would like to know what some of you guys think. I have never even ridden such a bike and I am not sure how it should feel.
