Due to scheduling issues the Men?s Cat 1/2 race has been shortened to 50 minutes (start time of 3:10). Sorry if this disappoints anyone. Just trying to make it all fit.
Like last year, we will have a CompuTrainer set up where you can test your power output in the ?Crawfish .4 Mile Virtual Sprint Challenge.? We saved the files from last year?s top finishers should you choose to race against them. So just who were the top dogs of Power last year? Among the Juniors it was Galen Peterson, who generated an average of 409 Watts over the distance. For the women, Jessi Brunson generated a big 405 Watt average only minutes after winning her Cat 4 crit. And for the men, top honor for the day went to Steven Beardsley from Team Rubicon who generated 829 Watts over the distance, and exceeded 1,000 watts twice during the effort. Who?s it gonna be this year?? Talk is cheap...bring it!
A new race sponsor this year is Therapeutic Associates Inc. They?ll have a booth set up and will be happy to answer questions about their services and offer advice for treating pain issues, injuries, bike fitting etc. TAI are huge supporters of our bike racing community and we?re glad to have them.
Last but not least, we are excited to announce that we?ll have chefs from the Blossoming Lotus Caf? (925 NW Davis) on site serving up menu items to blow your mind. So you can forget about that bruised banana and stale bagel you were planning to pack and treat yourself (and your family) to the 100% vegan goodness that is Blossoming Lotus and recover in nutritional bliss.
With cash payouts, great prime prizes, awesome food and top-notch racing, we?re sure you will find this the best Crawfish Crit in years! See you there.
