Subject: Good job, Mudslinger promotors!



Wanted to extend a public congratulations to Damian Schmitt and his crew of

collegiate buddies who picked up the Mudslinger this yr when nobody else

would and put on a good, solid race!!! This race has faced field limits

and reduced trail access over the yrs and pulling it off was no small feat.

A few beginners were sent off course and being the conscientous folks that

they are, the organizers were bummed, but they handled things VERY WELL and

less than 10% of the riders were affected. I know this miscue was a bummer

to everyone, but other than that the race was handled very well,

PARTICULARLY for first-time promotors. Putting on any race is tough, but

especially a mtn bike race! Nice to see some young people with enthusiasm

taking up the challenge and coming through strong...you are appreciated,

OSU cycling club!!!
