If you're not racing in the State road champs this Sunday, come out and join us for a fun, beautiful ride from Troutdale up to Crown Point, down to Multnomah Falls, and back again. If you've done this ride, you already know how beautiful it is, and the roads are generally low-traffic.
Date: Sunday, Aug. 19
Start time: 9:55 a.m.
Start location: McMenamin's Edgefield in Troutdale (meet in the far NW corner of the parking lot.)
Distance: about 45 miles, round trip
Description: intermediate-level road ride, lots of steady climbing, but nothing really severe. We'll regroup at Crown Point and at Multnomah Falls, otherwise, ride at your own pace.
Bonus: water, snacks, & floor pump, etc., in sag vehicle.
Double bonus: You can take a shower at McMenamen's after the ride for a $2 towel fee! Pretty cool.
After the ride, we can have a burger & brew on the beautiful Edgefield grounds. (What the heck--we're not doing the road race!)
