Since there are a number of OBRA members who "go both
ways" (Bike Racers AND Triathletes)...

The IronHeads Triathlon Team is currently recruiting
new members for the 2008 season (we'll be ordering
uniforms by 15 September).

IronHeads was founded as a Long Course (1/2 Ironman
and longer) triathlon Team in 2003. For 2008, we'll
continue with a VERY strong group of Ironman athletes,
but our short-course and XTERRA Team will also grow.

In the past 5 seasons, the Team has qualified more
than 20 athletes for the Ironman World Championships
in Kona, Hawaii. Further, the team has qualified
nearly a dozen athletes for the Ironman 70.3 World
Championships and ITU Long Course World Championships.
Although the Team has displayed its capabilities as a
Regional powerhouse, we have a welcoming environment
which can help athletes of diverse backgrounds improve
while having fun training with a great group of
athletes.

The Team currently consists of 35 members located
throughout the Portland-Metro area. We have no
intention to limit membership/team size in 2008.

In addition, the Team has received outstanding support
from a number of Global as well as local companies
which we expect to continue moving forward.

Requirements for joining the Team consist of a
requirement to purchase and race in a Team Uniform,
pay reasonable team dues, and bring a positive
attitude to training and racing.
