Mary's Peak Info

Some questions regarding spectators at Marys Peak:

1) Can spectators (parents) drive to the top to meet their riders at the finish?
2) Are there good areas on the course to cheer for riders?

My son is riding Marys Peak for the first time, so we've got the newbie questions.

Thanks,

Doug

Hey folks!

We're getting set for the race tomorrow, so if you need to contact me,
give a try on my cell 541.990.8979.
I will check e-mail later this afternoon.

Some announcements:

Registration is UP! We have over 50 people signed up! Start list is
attached, and will post it online later this afternoon.
http://www.eugenecyclingteam.com/marys_peak_files/marys_peak_main.html
Registration is open online until 7pm with NO LATE FEE. If you show up
tomorrow, it will be an extra fee.

Centerline rule will be enforced mercilessly. Ask the four folks who
climbed the entire mountain last year only to receive a DQ once they
reached the bottom.

Donations are climbing for Ryan McKnab. You can also donate
online...scroll down to see the boxes.

We really want to thank Full Cycles for donating the gift certificates
this year. They are good for online purchases as well as in-store.
They donated over $300 in cash to the top 5 men and top 3 women
(overall). This is money we can now donate to Ryan's fund.

If you want to bring warm clothes (the top is almost 4000'), put them in
a bag with your name on it and toss into the big brown 4x van by 9:30 on
race day and they'll be waiting for you the top.

Finally, the moto escort is all setup. Prepare to follow them down the
last 4 miles. This is for your safety. They will be noting numbers of
anyone seen passing them. The staging area will be staffed and we'll
have water there this year.

Please be very aware of the high speed traffic running through our
parking area...hwy 34. No warming up on the roads in the area. Bring
your trainer.

Thanks and we'll see you Sat!!
