If you're registered for the Hillclimb event, great! Please see the
announcements below.

If not, there's still time to register online for the OBRA Hillclimb
Championship event taking place this Sunday at Larch Mountain. The url to
register is:

I will close registration and release a final start list tomorrow morning.
The most current start list will be available at:

http://www.bbcbike.com

I am currently putting an initial start list together, to be released later
today.

Current event info can be found at:

Please Note-

This venue is wonderful, and quite difficult to secure for our races. Five
separate permits had to be acquired. If we anger any of these five groups,
it could prevent us from using this venue in the future. Please read the
following race information and follow the rules:

- Parking for the event will be across the street from the high school, at
the old Elementary school parking lot. Signs will be there to direct you.
Please don't park in the high school parking lot.
- While racing, stay to the right, except to pass. The road is not closed
to traffic.
- While descending back down the hill, please don't block traffic. By
mindful and let cars through.
- In the finish area, do feel free to look around and hang out (it's
beautiful up there), but please don't clog up the parking lot for the other
visitors
- The finish area is at Sherrard Point Park, run by the USDA Forest
Service. As such, a park use permit is required to park there, similar to
Hagg Lake when we do the Banana Belt Series. The fee is $5. If you or a
friend intend to drive up to the finish, please be sure to get a pass. The
USDA Forest Service was concerned that some participants blew off their
officials when confronted about this. There is, of course, no fee to park
at the staging area (near the start).
- If you'd like to drop off clothing for your descent back down the hill,
please do it before 9:15. All gear provided will be delivered to the finish
area for you to pick up. It would be a good idea to bring a jacket and
perhaps a snack for the ride back down.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Erik
