'Cross Clinic #2 News:

*Nearly 150 people participated last week. We were able to break into more
groups than before, thanks to our many volunteer coaches.

*If you registered for the series, all you have to do is sign-in. It'll be
quick.

*If you came last week and paid $10 for the night, you can still pay the $15
balance for the series. You'll then qualify for the raffle at Clinic #3 on
Sept. 19th, when we'll give away the Kona "Jake the Snake" bike as well as
other prizes.

*If you missed last week, it's OK: we can accomodate you.

*Please try not to park on the infield grass on your right as you enter
Alpenrose. We use that area for the clinic. (If you must, keep close to
the road.)

*We try to keep the groups the same, but we rotate coaches thru the groups.
Therefore, each group will have one new coach while retaining an original
coach. We'll review what we did last week, and then quickly move into new
terrain. Expect more barriers, a bit more speed, and more variety.

*Due to popular demand (and constructive criticism!) and thanks to coach
Christopher Tauscher, we'll have a new group just for the kids! (There is
no charge for all junior-age riders.)

*We'll also have a special guest in the way of local 'cross racer Molly
Cameron of Velo Shop and the Vanilla Bicycles 'cross team.

*I want to thank all of our volunteer coaches: Jeffrey Struck, Matt Mahoney,
Kristina Hargie, Rhonda Mazza, Cary Miller, and Dani Dance (of the huge
"beginner group"); Shannon Skerritt and Matthew Slaven (of the
"more-experienced" group); and Brad Ross and Wendy Williams, Kevin Hulich
and Michael Gallagher, and Jon Myers and Erik Tonkin (of the "intermediate"
groups).
