The deadline has passed and it has gone much more smoothly than in past years. So thanks to everyone in OBRAland!
I am in the process of setting the start list which will be posted tomorrow. Unfortunately, our ISP is having technical difficulties which should be resolved today so that you can access info and start lists at www.emeraldvelo.org <http://www.emeraldvelo.org> (look for "2001 TT" on the navigation bar).
Following are a few updates:
1. Last-chance TT Registration-Although the deadline has passed, there is one (and only one) way to register if you have not already. We are in need of additional corner marshals to ensure ample manpower. In light of this, anyone who is not registered, and would like to be, will be charged one volunteer for race entry. Volunteers must report at 7:30 a.m. which is when most racers will arrive anyway. This offer expires at 5 p.m., Thursday. Contact me asap, first come, first served.
2. Call for Volunteers-As per item 1, we still need a few more volunteers to corner marshal. The commitment will be minimized (as per update #3) so that volunteers will only need to work for about 3 hours. Anyone bringing a volunteer will receive free entry in the TT. Once again it is first come, first served.
3. Change to 30-second Start Interval-We have decided to compress the start times in order to minimize any traffic disruptions in the community and on local farmers (so that we can go back next year). Ideally we could stick with one-minute intervals, but in assessing all the factors, we decided the trade-off is worth it.
4. Addition of Senior Category 3 Division-We will have a Category 3 section for Senior Men to help determine final BAR points. If you are a Cat. 3 and you entered in the Senior Men's division, you will automatically be entered as a Cat. 3. If you entered in the Masters category and want to move, please notify me by e-mail.
Stay tuned for the start list tomorrow. Please refrain from contacting me to confirm that I received your entry until the start list is published. Let me know if you have any questions.
