I know nothing about John Belling.

But I also know that it's incredibly sad that we have to be so
suspicious of everyone from certain countries.

My mother is a missionary in Ibadan, Nigeria. In addition to running a
church, she operates a women's resource center that teaches women
employment skills (like seamstress work), English, pre-natal health,
etc. She's lived there for more than 6 years. She's always looking
for people who can contribute resources, educational materials, money,
etc. She does a lot on a little $.

Particularly because I'm in the on-line retail business, I'm as cautious
as the next person about inquiries from a host of countries, including
Ghana, Nigeria, pretty much anywhere in Africa, actually.

Nonetheless, I always retain just a little bit of optimism, knowing that
there are plenty of good honest people, both native and non-native, in
these countries that really are on the up and up. Like my mom. :-)

A quick Google search for "John Belling" AND Ghana shows that this is,
in fact, a 419 email scam. Nice to see that we've got spammers reading
and replying to OBRA chats. Are there moderators to this list?
