I like to thank everyone who came out last Saturday to race, cheer or volunteer at the inaugural Kruger's Kermesse Farm Crit.

It was great to see so many new faces and it was even greater to see a lot of folks making it an a all-family event. Very cool! With 400 racers and another 30+ kiddie racers it looks like OBRA has another Portland bike race classic on its hands.

If you like to see what the fun and excitement was all about, check out the following links with some great photos:

Further, I would like to give a BIG SHOUT to...

- the 30+ volunteers who helped out with set-up, registration, lap counting, first aid, course marshaling, the kiddie race and clean-up. Without their help we wouldn't have been able to pull it off.
- Candi, Terri, Brian and the rest of the OBRA crew for doing a fabulous job in scoring the races and getting the results and posted in no time.
- our announcer Luciano for getting all racers' names straight, all day long.
- our sponsors Chris King, Bike Gallery, Kona, Clif Bar, and Pyramid Breweries for some awesome prizes.
- the guys of Slowly Rising who made the party complete with some fine live music.

Last but not least, I like to thank Don Kruger and the folks at Kruger's Farm for this great venue. Don very much loved what he saw and he told me he already looks forward to next year's edition. Drop by his farm store whenever you're around Sauvie Island and check out the many other family-friendly activities he hosts at his farm this fall.

So there we had it. I hope to see you all back at the farm on Sunday November 25th for the second edition of the Kruger's Crossing Cyclocross Classic. But first, let's get the cross season underway and have some major fun at all the other awesome races coming our way!

Cheers!
~Kris
