Mark,
Well said. OBRA members elect the board to run OBRA. If you don't like the decisions the current board made, as Mark states, run
for the board and try to make different decisions. Just be ready for the minions to climb all over you when you make a decision
they don't like. Running a organization the size of OBRA and with the responsibility of OBRA is not a popularity contest. It
requires making decisions, some will be very well received, some viewed as unpopular. I applaud the current board for making what
I'm sure many knew would be and unpopular decision. They also thought it was in OBRA's overall best interest.

rules are on the obra website, everyone should read them.

also folks who want to run obra can run for the board, but then again, without knowing what happened, look at all the strong
opinions folks have about our board and the time they put in for free.
here's a quick quiz: Name the board, heck, name how many people are supposed the be on the board.
folks, run for a board, and run a group the way you want.

In Oregon, only governmental organizations are required to follow the
public meeting rules. As a non-profit, OBRA isn't required to hold open
meetings or make public meeting minutes. Of course, organizations
internal rules govern how that those kinds of things will be handled,
but I don't know where that info would be found.
