Dear OBRA,

First off, I would like to recognize Sal for his immeasurable
contributions
to OBRA. Thank you Sal for your hard work. I have always had
nothing but
the highest respect for you.

All of us who belong to OBRA are a family. Whether we are racers,
officials
or fans, all us - from so many different walks of life, are tied
together by
our single passion, cycling. As a family, we can have our
disagreements but
in the end we cheer to together, we cry together and we support each
other.

I am humbled by the work of Candi, Sal and other individuals in OBRA who
have devoted innumerable hours and dedicated their lives to racing in
Oregon. I hope to follow in their footsteps and help guide the
organization. But, I cannot do this without your help. You, the
members,
are OBRA. I ask for your patience during this transition time. I am
not
Candi, Mike nor Sal, but I hope to leverage my skills and abilities
to the
benefit of all of us.

I promise to you that I will do my utmost to perform the duties
required by
this position, that rules will be applied evenly and fairly, to
promote all
types of racing in all of Oregon, to carry out my duties with
professionalism and care, and finally, to do my best to make sure we can
make racing in Oregon the most fun that it can be.

I have had the opportunity to meet many of you through racing. Some
of you
know me through my exploits on the blog. Many, I have yet to meet.
Please
come up and say hello at races. I travel throughout the state to
race so
hopefully I'll bump into all of you somewhere along the line.

I look forward to working with all of you. Thank you for your support!

With warmest regards,

Kenji
