We only saw Lance for a few seconds as he turned the corner. As I handed out Powerbars at the rest-stop, I realized that the most inspiring people were the ones that typically don't bike ride - folks that aren't on this email list. They braved the elements and did that ride for a reason. They wore signs that said "survivor" and "memory of dad". As they rode off, there was no doubt in my mind that they would finish because they were inspired.
