The Everest Challenge race in the Sierras near Bishop, Ca. is a very tough race. Two weeks ago, I went and was humbled by the sheer scope of the courses and by the altitude, to say nothing of the level of competition. I'll go back next year with specific training. This time, I went knowing I'd not planned or trained for something this tough, but since I'd been racing all season...I blew out of the final climb on the first day and used the second day as training for my A-race coming up next week..If you get to feeling tough next season, try this one on..
