is this your bike?

The seller's name is Nikolay Patsula phone#(503)750-3692. From what I know of him, he tries to rebuild period bike and sell them.
I think he said he built that one with Record Nuevo, I dunno.

I doubt the bike is stolen, from a few conversations it seems that he knows his stuff for bikes in the 70's/80's.

I'm selling him my frame/fork/BB at a super low price just because I want it gone, and he's the only take this time of year, unless any of you want it (racers get priority).

Two of these bikes were for sale by a guy with a Slavic accent at the
Recyclery two swap meets ago. I looked at them. This could be one of
them. I think it is one of them. They were pretty nice but they didn't
seem to be moving. I kind-of wanted one but didn't have the money. The
seller wanted $800 for each, much like the seller on Craigslist.

Whether that anecdote assuages the suspicious' suspicions or just makes
the seller more suspect, I don't know. But, that's my story.

I mean, the seller's spelling - or maybe tiping - is poor. That in
itself says a lot about the legitimacy of their claim to the bike,
doesn't it? Or at least paints a target on their forehead, obviously.

It's an aluminum Guerciotti made by Alan. My guess is the person selling it
does own it specifically because of this. A typical know-nothing thief would
more likely advertise it as a Guerciotti, not an Alan.

The frame is a glued/bonded Aluminum frame from the mid to late 80's (maybe early 90's). It could be an Alan or a Vitus although it's tough to tell from looking at the pictures.
