Posting for a friend frank.mungeam@verizon.net

As a bicycle tour guide, bike commuter, and recreational rider, I've
(Frank Mungeam) been alternately intrigued and intimidated by the
phenomenon a bicycling friend has termed as "ride rage": the covert and
often overt hostility we as cyclists face from cars as we try to safely
share the road.
This same friend happens to be a book publisher who knows my background
in psychology and as a writer. I'm delighted to share the news that
we've teamed up to write a book on the topic that will explore incidents
of "ride rage", the contributing causes, and what can be done to promote
the safe co-existence of cars and bikes on our shared roads.
I'm sending this request out because I'm hoping you will lend your
personal experiences to the project!
I've created a Ride Rage blog and would hugely appreciate it if you
would take 10 minutes to log on to
http://ride-rage.blogspot.com (The settings on the survey are designed
so it's easy to "comment", no log-in or password required):
1: Take the mini "on-line polls" about your habits as a rider and your
car experiences
2: Post your "ride rage" close (or not so close)call story in the Ride
Rage Stories blog
3: Add your thoughts to the "Can We Co-Exist?" blog.
Your real-world experiences will help make this a book that can truly
make a difference as a resource to bike clubs and shared-use
transportation planners in cities, counties and states across the
country!
Thanks, Frank
