Curt Dewees
Dear Cyclist Friends,
Please join us tomorrow evening (Friday, 10/12) at the west entrance
to the Burnside Bridge in downtown Portland at 6 p.m. for a solemn and
slow procession -- by bicycle -- up W. Burnside to the intersection of
W. Burnside and SW 14th Ave.
There we will honor the memory of the young lady who lost her life
today while riding riding her bike in the bike lane thru that
intersection. (She was hit and killed by a truck driver who
apparently didn't see her.)
Perhaps bringing a small candle to light at this time would be an
appropriate way to remember her.
We sincerely hope to see you there.
Please forward this message to all of your cyclist friends who may be
interested.
Thanks.
