I'm reaching here, but I think the guy was an engineer at GM and shared some
patents on the intermittent windshield wiper and that rear-window light that
flashed green or yellow if you're were going or slowing. I forgot about the
VERTI Burger, those were good. He made the best Ice Cream too.

Roger Berg was his name. Not sure if he is still around.
Mad scientist or absent minded professor, but either way a sweetheart of a
man.
Also know for the ever colorful UNI-Disc wheel covers. Rumor has it that he
was involved with the design of Square Headlights. VERTI Burger was the Ice
Cream shop, but that closed just before I moved to the area.
He used to come into Aloha Bicycle all the time. Always a special treat for
us. Quite the character.

Wow, that brings back memories. I used to work for that guy 28 years ago
building those seats. It was at a house in Aloha. His shop
was in the backyard and it was a small family assembly line. We made 100's
of those things. And we got free ice cream!

Interestingly, the blue plastic seat in your photo may have been
made in Aloha by a guy named Berg. He had the Ice Cream Saloon near Kmart
in Beaverton. For a while he ran (I think) the BMX track that was in the
drain field behind the store. In 1980 he was making those plastic seats
with carbon fiber seat posts. An interesting guy with many more inventions
and products.

Anyone over age 35 should remember the golden age of BMX and the
"cruiser"
class.
I am looking specifically for a 24 - 26" BMX bike preferably one
from the 1980's.
Should any of you have one gathering dust in a garage or basement
I'd love to talk to you!!
Should any of you be curious as to what I am referring or just want
to feel all nostalgic
have a look at these 1980's beauties!!!
