Rollers 101
Dishman Community Center
Thursdays 4-6pm

Reaching out to the community at the old Knott Street
Boxing Gym, or Dishman Community Center, as the
Portland Partks Dept. likes to call it, is a grand
reward for all that we pelotoners have invested in
cycling.

Kids of all ages get a kick out of the accomplishment
of balancing on the rollers, and we are just the folks
to help them do it!

The volunteer turn out last week at our 18 week kick
off was great. Thank You so much, OBRA-land!

Now, I hope everyone who has an interest in riding
rollers
will join us again next Thursday at 4PM. If you have
your own rollers, bring 'em.

Meanwhile - We need someone with a truck or van (or
other plan) to help with the transportation, over the
ten blocks from the Garage at N. Haight and Failing to
the DCC Gym on Knott, of the 4
bicycles and 5 sets of rollers involved in making this
class happen.
Even if you can only help facilitate this pilgrimage
of
equipment but once, it will be fantastic, as we are
just
taking one week at a time.

We also have a need for 55 - 64cm road
bikes for kids to ride rollers with, as even young
kids these days seem to be over six feet tall with a
dispraportionatly long inseam.

Finally, and most of all, we need you. Lots of people
representing lots of teams is a great message to send
out to the community.

ForzA! AlleZ!

Best Regards,
