> ---Product recall: About 330 U.S.-made Reynolds UL carbon forks are being recalled because the aluminum dropouts could separate from the composite legs and allow the front wheel to disengage, creating what's termed "a serious fall hazard to riders." These forks were sold in U.S. bike shops from October 2006 through May 2007 for about $500. They were also included in custom 2007 bicycle frame kits from Independent Fabrication, Litespeed, Lynskey, Merlin, Parlee, Rock Lobster, Spectrum, Strong and Vicious. Specifically, the recall involves Reynolds UL forks with serial numbers 09100 through 10403. The number is on the steerer tube so can't be seen unless the fork is removed. A photo of the recalled fork, and instructions for receiving a replacement, are on the Reynolds website at http://tinyurl.com/2eb4jn
