Greetings OBRA racers!

For those of you who didn't receive the e-mail I sent out this morning, a quick reminder that we are less than 2 weeks away from the second edition of the Kruger's Crossing Cyclocross Classic (www.portlandracing.com/cx).

Like last year, this will NOT be your usual cross race! Besides the challenges thrown at us by the November weather gods, you can expect a wild course that will lead you along rutted farm roads, through berry fields, pastures, a barn, and a full-scale corn maze!

We'll have beer, wine, hot cider and gourmet food at hand, catered by Kruger's Farm Market, Salvador Molly's and Laurelwood. And the farm venue is way to much fun for leaving the family and kids at home.

Here are a couple other updates that I thought you might be interested in:

1) Race schedule:
We will be following the same race schedule as the Cross Crusade series, which looks as follows:
9:00am - Beginner Men and Masters 50+ (40 min)
9:55am - Men C, Masters C 35+, Unicycle (45 min)
11:00am - Masters B 35+, Clydesdale, Junior Men (45 min)
11:55am - Kiddie Kross (for kids age 12 and under)
12:10pm - Men B, Singlespeed (45 min)
1:10pm - Women A, B, Master, Beginner, and Junior (45 min)
2:00pm - Men A, Masters A 35+ (60 min)
3:10pm - Awards (Men A & Women A), Raffle, Good Times!

2) Bib Numbers:
We will use the Cross Crusade '07 bib numbers, so please bring them with you. If you haven't raced cross yet this season or you plan to race a new category, you will need to request a new bib # at the registration tent. As always, bib numbers go on the left side.

3) Pre-registration:
To make it easier on our registration volunteers, we encourage you to pre-register for the race (click here for details) and save $5 off the regular race fee. The pre-registration deadline is this Friday (11/16), so don't wait around too long and put your waiver and check in the mail soon.

4) Sponsors:
Chris King, Clif Bar, Kona, Bike Gallery, Laurelwood and Nossa Familia have all stepped up to support this race with great prizes and goodies! Stay tuned for more details on all the cool prizes we'll have up for grabs!

5) Volunteers needed!
We are still in dire need of a couple hands to help out during the race, especially at registration and some course marshals. If you like to volunteer - and in the process get to race for free - just reply to this e-mail.

That's it for now. This will make a great opportunity to burn off the turkey & gravy, or top it off with some beer, wine and yummie food. Bring your friends. Bring your family. See you at the farm!
