OBRA must replace our road traffic signage in order to comply with the ODOT
regulations. We originally purchased 100 traffic signs and stands for use at
the events around the state. The tripoded signs are being phased out and we
now have to acquire the ones that have the spring bases. These new signs
will cost about $300-400 apiece.
We have added a column to the 2008 membership form (and online form) in
hopes that you could help us out. OBRA is a 501c3 tax exempt organization
and we can provide you with receipts for your donations. Already this year
over 50 riders have renewed for 2008 and almost have added an extra
contribution. Please realize that without the proper equipment we will not
be granted permission from many road authorities. Already Hood River,
Deschutes and Lane county are telling us that they will not grant permits
without the new signs.
