Aw YEAHHH! That's gonna rock.
Thanks everyone for coming out yesterday to race, cheer on others, and enjoy a beautiful fall day!
We are still plugging away on the results, but I like to lso, another BIG THANKS to...
- Kona, Bike Gallery, Clif Bar, Chris King, Nossa Familia Coffee and Laurelwood Brewery for their support and some very nice prices.
- Salvador Molly's, Joshua Creem and the Gary of the Rolling Donut for feeding the hungry and thirsty crowd.
- THe OBRA officials and Luciano "the voice of Portland Racing" for getting all those numbers straight, all day long.
- Don Kruger and the friendly staff at Kruger's Farm. Yesterday afternoon, Don and his family came home from a weeklong vacation and they were delighted to see such a festive crowd taking over their farm. Drop by the Kruger's Farm Market store whenever you're around Sauvie Island and check out the many other fun activities he hosts at the farm throughout summer and fall (all details at krugersfarmmarket.com).
Finally, a big SHOUT to the 40+ volunteers, who helped out all weekend with set-up, registration, parking, lap counting, first aid, course marshaling, the kiddie race and clean-up. You all did an awesome job and we definitely couldn't have pulled it off without your help.
So there we had it... Next year, we'll be back with more races at the farm. Besides the Kruger's Crossing CX Classic, we plan to stage a 3-race Kruger's Kermesse Farm Crit Series (8/24, 9/7 & 9/14). And of course, we hope to see you all at the two other race events we are putting on close to Portland: the Horning's Hustle XC MTB Season Opener (3/30) and the Portland MTB Short Track Series (6/23 through 7/28).
Cheers!
~Kris
