I built these prototypes while working in product development for Lew
Composites in Vegas. I test rode them as daily wheels for about 500
miles, including the bridge pedal. Used them to win a jersey on the Mt.
Hood Hill climb, and loaned them to a Jr. who won another. The wheels
worked fine but we didn't commercialize them, as we sold the company to
MQC (maker of the carbon fiber Trek frames) who now uses the technology
for the Reynolds wheels.

Note that I weigh 130lbs and am a spinner, so my test experiences should
not be extrapolated to that of a 180lb sprinter. These are sold as a
prototype set only, not as a commercial product for general use. Great
for someone who's building the lightest bike possible, and for someone
who knows how to handle specialized equipment. These are for limited
application, hence the low price. We built a similar pair for a 12lb
show bike at Interbike about the same time, and I think we charged
around $2.5K.
