Ron and Dorothy Strasser
Splinter,
Thanks very much for the positive comment. I did feel like I was working pretty darn hard! That Don Leet just keeps Pulling me back! Thanks even more for all your professional level work keeping fans and riders informed about what it taking place at the races. Your ability to deliver the facts and lots of great information about various riders is a great asset to everyone involved. I would say you are Cat "A".
That was a pretty good Frazz. Your Hesburgh quote made me think about what I was thinking this morning while I was transporting my cat and dog to the vet for various shots. I am in my nice warm dry car watching cyclists work hard against the rain and wind to get to work or other destinations and I was reminded of how these hard working people get pretty much no awards from our society, but may really be some of our true cycling champions. I do not say that to take away from all the hard life work of competitive cyclists, but there are alot of plain folk out there that probably work as hard as I do because they have no other transportation option or choose to only cycle. That nice warm car felt great after two days of racing... it was nice to have that option in my life. I am not a rich man, but feel very lucky (blessed and or whatever one wants to tag it) that I have great family, friends, good health and some material things to keep me comfortable. AND of course bikes to ride!!!

For those who appreciate such things today's Frazz comic seems particularly appropriate...

Also, big congratulations to Ron Strasser for a well earned win in the masters today!
