yeah those can break pretty especially if natural frequency is just right... depends on stiffness of the rods ... mass in the rainflaps (less is better) ...
anyway, if you have a drill, (step drill bits work great for sheet metal btw) tinsnips, pliers etc, for bending and piece of sheet metal you can fabricate a new one pretty quick, and make it stronger at the same time. drill a couple extra holes for attaching to fender with (said with trepidation) zip ties. use piece old innertube rubber inbetween or etc to protect ziptie from sharp edges also dampen movement soften the system

I am still looking for broken or used fenders that people are not using....or want to throw away.....The type I need is the plastic SKS fenders, road style...They have the small steel arch that rivets to the plastic that holds the nuts that adjust the rods going to the frame....Does that make sense? I am still alittle rummy from the cross party last night.....Let me know what you have and what you want for them.....
