WEBCYCLERY MOVIE NIGHT @ McMENAMINS
BETWEEN THE TAPE
9:00 p.m. | $5 per person | 21 & over

Come join the crew of WebCyclery for the Bend, Oregon premiere of Between The Tape -- a documentary that follows the world's best downhill mountain bike racers around the world during the 2006 UCI World Cup Downhill Series.

Beautifully shot, Between The Tape tries hard to stand out from your run of the mill downhill videos. In addition to some great racing, this film documents the the rigors of competition and traveling, as well as giving you access to the riders and their thoughts when they're away from the racecourse.

Filmed on location in the USA, Spain, Portugal, France, Austria, Switzerland, Scotland, Germany, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England and Ireland.

Kevin Gorman, a film critic known for his thumbs-up and thumbs-down reviews with his brother and fellow critic, Mean Todd, has praised Between The Tape and heralded it as "The sweetest 2006 UCI World Cup Downhill Series movie ever! Even though it's obvious that they totally sped up the footage." Mean Todd continued the accolades and added, "As long as you're going to be at McMenamins drinking a beer, you might was well be watching Between The Tape at the same time."

While WebCyclery Movie Night at McMenamins is a fund raiser for Central Oregon Trail Alliance (cotamtb.org), it is mostly an excuse to get together with a theater full of like-minded cyclists to watch kick-ass bicycle movies, eat some tater tots, and maybe win a cool door prize.
