Subject: [OBRA Chat] CX Nationals in January?

For those of you who care, (and do not know already) there is serious talk of syncing up the US Cyclocross National championships with the rest of the European Cyclocross National championships, holding them in the beginning of January.

I know OBRA cx racing attendance slumps after the final Crusade race but I am all for keeping the cx momentum going through the new year. A well promoted x-mas race+festival could be exciting in the middle of December in Oregon.

Just got done with a couple days of brewery and chocolate museum tours with my ladyfriend here in Brussels. Racing a cx in Roubaix and the French World Cup this weekend as my final European stops.

Happy new year OBRA, see you all again soon.

If it happens, it will happen in January of 2010. Nationals will be in
December in KC in 2008 as planned, then skip to January 2010.

I can't stress enough that this is only an expectation. It's not final or
official. I should know if it's definitely happening sometime in late
February of this year.
