rode all three several yrs in a row (tricky as Spain often ended 3-7 days
before Italy) and one yr ('90 or '91) was top 10 in all 3!

Browsing the route of this years Tour of Spain tonight
I began to wonder: has anyone ever done a cycling hat
trick? By that I mean has one person ever won each of
the 3 major tours -- Italy, France and Spain -- in the
same year? Given the extreme demands of professional
cycling, is it even feasible in today's day and age?
