VANPORT KERMESSE COURSE UPDATE

Jeff,
The added gravel section and reverse direction of course for the third race was fun from my perspective. It sure did not slow down the top speedsters from what I could tell. Their road bikes just ate this series up and they seemed to have lots of fun. For those roadies that did not come out and try this, I think you might have enjoyed it more than imagined. The weather all three days was actually pretty good... could have been much worse this time of year. The new surface on PIR is "amazing smooth", to the point being kind of dreamy. I would imagine that this series would be a good training for the upcoming road season. The winners were flying and getting what seemed like super good workouts.
Thanks to Jeff, volunteers, sponsors, OBRA and to Luciano for the "smooth as butter throat".
Hey! I may have been slow, but I wonder if there is a prize waiting at River City for "Least Aero Bike" (not really)?
Maybe some snow next year.. just missed it by one day on Sunday. It is about time for me to get back on my 29er and get ready for mud.
Thanks again all,
ron
