The University of Oregon cycling team is currently preparing to host a road race and team time trial as a part of a collegiate weekend omnium we're sharing with Oregon State. As a part of the requirements for our road permit in Lane County, we need certified, card-holding corner marshals for 3 different corners. The races will take place March 22nd near Eugene (and March 23rd in Corvallis), so it would be the perfect chance to rest the legs a bit after 3 weeks of Banana Belts. If anyone is a certified marshal and would be willing to help us, let me know. If we can't find certified marshals and you are willing to volunteer the time, we can also pay to have you trained on a weekend prior to the race. We're also starting to recruit volunteers for help with registration, and drivers/vehicles for lead and follow cars, so if you're an Oregon Duck supporter (or an alum of pretty much any major Northwest school) and want to get in on the world of collegiate racing, please contact me. See everyone at Cherry Pie!
