Hello,

I want to thank all of you for your support as the mountain bike rep. I do
listen to your requests fromr dry trails to changing as the sport changes.
In Oregon we have very diverse courses from gravel road climbs and slippery
descents to dusty rock strewn singletrack and bolder fields, bridge
crossings, snow, sun, the list goes on and on. For this year we will be
doing the Course Observer Program for all mountain bike events. This keeps
us race directors thinking of the details that make an event good for a
first time racer-----from finding the course to how well it is marked, how
safe and other specific details.
I am hoping you will sign up and choose 1 race to observe and subsequently
fill out the form for the race director after the event and mail one back to
me and or give to me at the event. This allows a fresh set of eyes on the
race, and since you will be racing puts your eyes on the course to grade the
quality of the event. This could be a simple as Did the event start on
time-----within 15 minutes or 30 minutes or later. The form will have 10-15
questions and for your effort you would race that race for free. Please
e-mail me with questions and If you have a particular race you wish to do
this for please let me know.

Please send me your
