I was pedaling down Sunset Blvd this weekend and saw what I fear is the
future. A woman walking behind her grandson who was maybe seven or eight
years old driving a miniture Vespa. In the bike lane, wobbling a bit, going
about 3 MPH. Wish I had been carrying a camera.

There are times I despair for the collective intelligence. This was one of
them.

Do not despair. I counteract that karma by riding my Ripstick to and from the grocery store.
Nothing like and old fossil riding a kid's toy to balance a kid riding around on an adult plaything.

Of course, my wife still yells at my for forgetting to wear my helmet :(
