I have a Force Gruppo.
Love it.
Dave,

I also have the same annoyance with my rival shifter. I spoke with some
of the SRAM reps at NAHBS about this issue. They said there is currently
no plan to offer an "internals upgrade" for the Force or Rival levers to
add a trim position. They were reticent about discussing future
technology trickle-down from the Red gruppo.

Two possibilities:
1) Buy the Red shifters (assuming you've got a spare $450 or whatever it is)
2) Get together enough other SRAM road gruppo users and petition SRAM for
some kind of upgrade kit available through your LBS.

Steven

The Front derailleur lever LACKS a "half click stop on the big ring".
They have
addressed this with Red. It is the only annoyance for me with the Force
and means
that on a 12-23 cogset, the chain rubs on the 21 and the 19 on the big
ring which
frankly sucks and is unbecoming of top end stuff.

So...does anyone know of a way to address it? Can shops put new Red
internals
inside a Force lever?

Anyone?

PS: My head is NOT in need of removing from my sphincter..I don't think
anyway!

Best,
DC
